Colors of Kwanzaa

Join us at Ultra Silk Gallery on Friday, December 13th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM for a special Second Friday celebration infused with culture, community, and creativity. While Richard Watson’s "COSMIC VISTAS: A Voyage Through Paradise" exhibition remains on display through December 28th, we invite you to a pre-Kwanzaa event, "Colors of Kwanzaa", honoring the rich traditions and principles of this cultural celebration.

The evening will feature dynamic live drum performances and storytelling by Karen Smith Drums with Sistahs Laying Down Hands, offering rhythmic narratives that connect us to heritage and community. Acclaimed spoken word artist Pheralyn Dove will deliver powerful poetic expressions, weaving themes of unity and self-determination. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, enjoy African-inspired cuisine and drinks, a feast for both the palate and the soul.
